Custom conversions
Once you have integrated the global script, you can setup custom conversion on your GTM thanks to existing template.
Here's the steps to follow :
Install the Template
Template link :
Go to your GTM workspace
Navigate to the āTemplatesā tab
3. In the section titled āTag Templateā
4. Click the āSearch Galleryā button at the top right of the section
5. Click the search icon and type āJoin Stories - Conversions Customā
6. Click on the existing template
7. Click on āAdd to workspaceā
Use the template
From the GTM workspace:
Go to the āTagsā tab.
Create a new tag using the button in the āTagsā section.
Click on the āTag Configurationā section.
Select the custom tag template āJoin Stories - Conversions Custom Codeā from the āCustomā section.
Fill in the fields with their associated values.
In the āAdvanced Settingsā:
Go to āTag Sequencingā.
Check āFire a tag before [this tag] firesā.
Select the tag using āJoin Stories - Global Scriptā.
Check āDonāt fire Join Stories - Global Script if the preceding tag fails or is pausedā.
Add any additional parameters if needed.
Set your trigger on your checkout page.
Save your tag.
