When you want to create a custom group in one of our widgets, you must first provide the data from your website or mobile application in your workspace settings.

  1. Go to the "Website/app data" tab in your workspace settings.

  2. From this page, you can add new data by clicking the "New data" button. This will allow you to specify the necessary information to customize the criteria for your custom group and display stories in a targeted way in your widgets.

There are 4 values types that can be associated with your website or application data. These allow you to create conditions in the Audience section of a custom group within a widget (see article "Add one or more Stories to your widget"):

  • True/False: Allows you to check if the added data condition is true or false, or whether it exists or does not exist.

  • Text: Allows you to check if the textual values associated with your website or application data "contain", "are equal to", "do not contain" the value, or whether the value "exists" or "does not exist".

  • Number: Allows you to add a condition in your audience if the numeric value is "equal to", "greater than", "greater than or equal to", "less than", "less than or equal to", "not equal to", "does not exist" or "exists".

  • List: Allows you to check if the textual values associated with your website or application data "contain", "are equal to", "do not contain" the value, or whether the value "exists" or "does not exist".

Once you have added all the data from your site, you can create conditions in the "Audience" section when creating a custom group to precisely refine which stories will be displayed based on the criteria you have defined.
